DocuShare Outlook Client enables you to conveniently access your DocuShare collections within Microsoft Outlook. From a single desktop location, you can browse collections, edit and save files, drag and drop messages and attachments to collections, and search for content.

To download and install the software, follow the steps below. After installing the DocuShare Outlook Client, find out how to use its features by selecting DocuShare Outlook Client Help from Outlook's Help menu.


Obtaining and Installing the DocuShare Client Application

Before installing DocuShare Outlook Client, Microsoft Outlook must be installed on your computer and set up to send and receive mail.

Note: Installation of DocuShare Outlook Client may fail if you do not have adequate administrative privileges on your computer. If you encounter error messages that warn of locked or in-use resources, you may need to have an administrator install the software.

  1. Download the appropriate installation program for your operating system by selecting either the Windows 95, 98 or NT 4.0, Windows 2000 link to the left. Save the installation file to a temporary location on your local computer.

  2. Locate the installation file using your file management tool. Double-click the file to start the installation program. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  3. When the installation is complete, you can delete the installation program.

  4. Open Outlook and follow the Setup wizard to map your DocuShare server and enter your mail account information.
